Q used to churn out so many good ones... Bourque, Desjardins, etc. I think we'll see a resurgence over the next 10 or so years... it's just a cyclical thing, like Canadian goaltending. On the other hand, USDP is turning out a ton of good dmen these days.

Well the QMJHL is (traditionally) a high-scoring league, the WHL is a bruiser's league, and the OHL is your Richards/Laughton type of league. The disparities aren't as big as they were in the 80s/90s, but they're still there.
