No, it's not sexy to get the Schenns and two firsts...but Anaheim's been fine without Chris Pronger and after Scott Niedermayer retired, after I think two down years, because they had more picks to use and more opportunities to replace what was lost.

I respect Shea Weber a great deal -- he's a great player. But I would be saying the same thing if somebody dropped an offer sheet like that on us.

Either sign the player, or be prepared to let him walk. But don't let someone else negotiate the contract for you, then you live with it.

These guys are gonna give me a heart attack.

It wasn't just the occasional scratch it was the fact that even when he did dress they didn't play him. Leafs fans will give you a fist full of reasons why but the fact is he didn't play that much.

He's right back this season where he was when the Leafs traded him. Yes it's only 8 games and it's a long season and blah, blah, blah. I'm not trashing him really. I'm just thinking we got exactly what I was afraid we were getting.

Yes and no. He was up and down. 2 Seasons he averaged well over 20 minutes a game. And two other Seasons he averaged around 16 minutes a game.

Their puck retrieval on the PP is brutal. Even when they finally get set up, the lose the puck after every shot or every deflected pass. They're not using their manpower advantage to win back the puck and keep it in the o-zone.

Perhaps they should just keep taking penalties instead of PP's.
