I would have thought that things would be better last night but I still see 3 things that are killing them. Count the 1st point as 5.

1] THEY STOP SKATING... the other teams are skating and pursuing the puck and out working the Flyers consistently. The FLyers get flashes of brilliance followed by Forest Gump moments. They can be a faster team if they KEEP SKATING. They need more Recchi in them.

2] They get out of position to make a crushing hit at all cost. Only hit when it helps the play.

3] They are trying to do too much and make low 100% plays that don't work when nothing is going right for you.

Until these changes happen... anyone you bring in will be infected by the work ethic.

I am really "Jonesing" for his 35-40 goals per year right about now....

I like Couturier on the PP. I noticed several times that he'd carry the puck into the offensive zone and draw two guys to him and then dish the puck to open teammate which gets the opposition chasing the play.

Man, that would have been a hell of a goal for a defenseman. His goal against Carolina was also a strong wrister.

I meant 1 more year past this year.

I just know on the 3-on-1 in the third when he was carrying the puck he never even looked at the net. Everyone in the building knew he was going to pass it.
