I honestly wonder why this is always such an arguement. It's pretty obvious that the Leaf don't miss Grabo....at all. - stormeyAlterEgo
much rather have kadri centring kessel jvr with grabo between lupul and kuli with bolland between clarkson and raymond then have bozak slotted in there |

ya and I mentioned that.
+'s for keeping bozak over Grabo were:
1) friends with Kessel
2) lower cap hit
3) better at faceoffs
in that order - Big_Lightnin
ok good, so why are people still arguing this? If the end result was resigning Kessel, and in doing so they saved some cap space and resigned one of a possible two interchangeable centreman, then didnt Nonnis do a good job here? |

He was in Dallas last year. Back up |

kinda weird he has 5 PP points then eh?
He's on their 2nd PP. - Big_Lightnin
no he's not...i shouldn't have said he gets absolutely no pp time but he isn't a regular on the pp. he might of started out on the pp at the start of the year but he isn't now. |

the argument is really who's better. That's where we got started anyway.
I'd rather have Clarkson and Bozak than Grabo and No Clarkson... and given the cap situation, that was probably what likely would have happened.
But Leafs kept the worse hockey player. That's just a fact. Some choose to ignore it.

you suck at this. you go off about how bozak is out playing grabo and then when the facts suggest otherwise you refer to years past to make your point
here's a little hint
last year or the year before do not matter anymore. grabo is also being coached by one of the greatest centres to play the game.. and surprise surprise he is doing well
fact is.. bozak doesnt hold a twig to grabo when it comes to hockey skill.. he just does what he's told better.. and carlyle is a my way or the highway coach.
that selection was made based on who was more obedient. - Dozzer
It still doesn't change the fact Grabovski was a head case who fought with his own team during practice and was run out of two organizations. Skill isn't everything.
I understand the paying a mediocre centre like a good one argument but Grabovski was still a mediocre centre....we were just paying him more. |

I loved watching Grabo but it kind of defeats the purpose of having great scoring wingers when your centre won't get rid of the puck. |

They are doing awful....can you believe they chose them over him? Wonder why?
BTW I agree with Kadri with Kessel.
Grabo or Bozak on the second line....meh...interchangeable. Hardly worth the arguement. For a first place team.
But the fact that they actually bought out Grabo and resigned Bozak leads me to believe that he may be a real ass in the room. I didn't hear a lot of complaining coming out about it. |

no money was saved.
bozak 4.2
kessel 8
bozak is worth 2.5
kessel is worth 7.5-8.5 |

there was absolutely no player on the leafs team that didnt like grabovski - at least to the point where there was any termoil in the dressing room or outside of it.

yeah so he can pass it to kulemin so he can do nothing with it.
oh kulemin is off his line, so he has macarthur - who could score if he had 3 seconds to shoot the puck...or maybe one of the other all stars...mike brown, frattin, some other plugs im forgetting im sure.

u know what that is bigzby, the easy way out.
clarkson is a winger
grabovski is a center
clarkson will be lucky if he ever gets 50 points.
grabo will be around 60 this year.
there is way more to it than them having the same salary... |

lol well thats where you are wrong my friend. - i dont care to get into it, but il tell you 100% there was none, if anything, the guys really liked grabo, and they liked having him on the team.
a guy who could score, would make a pass and take the hit (something bozak will never do, or phil for that matter).
he faught chris neil once, he bit patches, he took headshots from chara and scored game winners...trust me on this, the boys liked grabo. |

so basically then...buying out Grabo, and resigning Bozak, netted the Leafs UFA Clarkson, and resigning Kessel long term. Was that not worth it, regardless of who's better between Grabo/Bozak? |
