The Leaf contingent is strong here... Its usually 50:50 Oilers:Leafs on any such game.

Despite the cold, Edmonton is a pretty good place to live.

The ACC sucks. It's not the players' fault, it's not the fans' fault, it's not even the ACC's fault. Smart fans go to Ottawa or Buffalo(/won't pay for ACC seats). You know, fun barns.

Well, it's October. Newport and the Leafs have like 8 months to get this right. So we hear the preliminary offer now of 7 years, 50 million. Kadri wanted 5.5 for 6, Franson 4.5 or more for 4. Hell, we thought Clarkson would get almost 6.

It's irrelevant. Money is easier to spend than assets and less costly long term with a deep pocketed franchise that seems pretty adequate at getting rid of money they don't want to spend.

The atmosphere at Rexall is usually garbage. Half the time if you cheer everyone looks at you funny and gives you the stink eye until you stop and a bunch of others are too intimidated by the (frank)ing wieners to say (frank) it and be a fan.
