The drop in PP % from 20.1% to 13%, I'd put entirely on Eakins. With the offensive weapons the Oilers have the PP should be deadly there are no excuses.

The PK on the other I would say is only partly his fault. The rest falls with MacT as he got rid of 3 (Horcoff, Belanger and Petrell) of the top 5 PKs we had last season and didn't do an adequate job of replacing them.

4 years into a rebuild and we've clearly made some terrible choices.

But at this point in time, Kes is better.

kessel was on a pretty poopty team when he first came to the leafs too and put up 30 + goals playing with a 3rd or 4th line center

You guys need some serious vets. Not hard to see why they threw big dollars at clarkson. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the young guns(probably yak) moved
for a good vet. Kinda surprised they weren't in on Vanek. Could see some package for Ott.
