Just curious, are you guys concerned about Yakupov? How many times did the play die with him last night? 10-20? Gagner kept passing him the puck and he kept losing it. Between his poor play, and his comments about how he doesn't like to forecheck or hit or play without the puck, I'd be concerned.

He was pretty bad at times. STILL TRYIN the extra move - hilighted by a lovely little rush into the slot where the Leafs D layed off a little too much and sure enough he tried that extra move on the D closing the gap mid-slot and zero, zilch, nada. No shot.

Well, Stauffer did say many times before the beginning of the season---when everyone was saying they were/ needed to get off to hot start and the like---that he thought the Oilers would start slow, still maturing, new systems, new coach demands and understanding.

I don't think even he thought they'd be 3-9-2.

No one thought the goal-tending would be that bad.

Seriously, can we ship Yakupov down to the AHL for the rest of the year to get his poop together? He isn't experiencing the sophomore slump, he is just a slump and isn't working hard to play proper hockey.

taking into account gags and nuges unknown returns and of course stupidly not bothering to think about more injuries that were bound to happen...
