I picked up Yak in a keeper. Not liking the rumors of him going to OKC. Gardiner had a great play in the first where he went end to end and set up Lupul. Gardiner needs to do less IMO.

In all seriousness, I think RNH is a stud. He is playing with a lot of heart, i thought he was soft before. I really like his game.

im not trolling edmonton. Just the fact that this sh*t has been rubbed in leafs fans faces FOREVER. The stats are gay, ppl need to watch hockey not try to figure out scientific equations. Look at ottawa, love the corsi stats and because of that they were picked by some to make the cup finals...amazing.

Seriously, can we ship Yakupov down to the AHL for the rest of the year to get his poop together? He isn't experiencing the sophomore slump, he is just a slump and isn't working hard to play proper hockey.

I know it takes time for the majority of the players to get it all figured out, but look at what the Leafs did with Kadri, why can't we do the same with Yakupov? We can send him down to work on his effort and find his scoring touch again, he isn't really adding anything positive on the ice right now.

The stats are usually right, but obviously not 100% or even 90% of the time. The Leafs seem to be an advanced statistical anomaly and I think most people have accepted that. To completely dismiss the stats is just as ignorant as people who are still waiting for the Leafs to become a lottery team this season.

The Worst:

Outside of Minnesota(who have had mediocre goaltending and a lack of finish) and Toronto(very solid goaltending and seem to have nearly perfected a system where they simply have much higher quality shots than their opponents on a nightly basis). The rest of the teams look just about right to me.

I keep hoping one of these days I'll forget who I root for and become a Hawks fan. But I'm probably more likely to forget where I live and circle the block for hours.

Any kind of trend analysis that holds up to like a 90% predictive rate of playoff projections and victories and stuff, is valuable. Advanced stats is not the be all and end all, but its still valuable information.

For sure that's true Nucker, not me though , I was a long suffering fan for nearly 50 years before they won in 2010, I can now die in peace!!

Can't really argue with that. I still want him up with the Oilers. I'm not even sure why. I think because I'm more worried he would be a bust or something. Like...it freaks me out and is even more depressing, the thought of K-poo being sent down.

last year kessel couldn't buy a goal to start the year. the leafs are deadly offensively and in net. OUr D.....not so much
