Yes we need guys that can stir the pot and play the game at the same time.

I know maroon's numbers look good because he's playing with Getz in Penners spot, but I think he could be the powerforward the oil are looking for and play with Nuge and Ebs.

Smith-Pelley would be in Eagers spot for now, I don't think he's ready for much more ice time. But he can sure hit hard and looks like he's a pest out there. And he scored at the Jr level and played good until he got hurt at the world JR.

I have no idea what the cost would be though for any of those guys

I'd pair him with Petry to see what happens.... I also haven't like Belov's game as of late and would move Smid with J.Shultz. Belov can sit a game or two in the Box. N.Schultz has looked good with them big hits

Just curious, are you guys concerned about Yakupov? How many times did the play die with him last night? 10-20? Gagner kept passing him the puck and he kept losing it. Between his poor play, and his comments about how he doesn't like to forecheck or hit or play without the puck, I'd be concerned.

Firing Lowe at this poi t doesn't improve this team or reverse any of his decisions. I think Mac T is a smart hockey man.he will figure this out. Lowe has done a nice job with the Oil Kings and Barons. Not sure what else he does, but I don't buy in to the puppet master theory at all.no matter who is president, you do what the owner wants you to do, not what the casual fan, season ticket holder, or HB poster wants.

and I totally agree that this puppet master thing is nonsense, tambs had the reigns and chose a path. but again, this doesn't excuse lowe for the debacle he had a hand in creating.

none of this was ever really my point though. I was posting on that "we're a long ways away" comment he apparently made.

some may see this as realism, but I see it as total bs. why are we still so far away? why havent you done more? year 4 of a rebuild doesn't mean we need to still be bottom feeders. someone finishes last every year but they generally pick themselves up and find a way to get out of it. I have no confidence theyre capable of doing this. they havent shown anything to speak to this..

it sounds to me like a backhanded attempt at a few more years of reprieve or 'this is how it works'.
