Ever since we traded for Sauce, I see a lot of people assuming he's just gonna jump right into the starting role. IMO that's Thompson's spot to lose. He shot 40.1% from three last year while reworking his release. AND, once he really started settling in later in the season, he shot 46.9% from deep in the last three months including 53.5% (!!!) in February. He's shot 40.1% from three both of his first two years and we all know how desperately we need to shooters to spread the floor. I wouldn't be surprised to see him jump to 42% at the end of next year with the addition of a big offensive threat in the post.

He's interesting. I'm curious to see if he can improve other parts of his game. One thing Stauskas offers is ball handling. He can run the point if they need him to. Thompson is really just a 3 and D guy right now.
