He will be a good player. He will suffer from not fully developing his game. He reminds a bit of Pippen. A guy that can do everything well but nothing at a truly great level.

So, they have been targeting this year specifically? And who is truly elite in this class?

They haven't been really targeting this year. This is the year where they have enough assets to really start making moves. Saric is coming over from Europe and (*prays to god*) Embiid is joining.

I would be happy if the Sixers got him and he became Pippen, though I don't think their games are all that similar

I am aware. I have watched him quite a few times this season. I think he will be a good player. I just don't see that next level in him that the truly greats have.

Like I said, if the Sixers take Simmons and he becomes Pippen 2.0, I will be thrilled.

I just think you're being a little unfair to Simmons being that he's only a freshman surrounded by mediocre talent and a bad coach. He took the best team in the country to the brink today. Could have closed it out better, but the amount of good looks he gets his team is amazing.
