Crims, we're a day away from the lottery and I still don't know how to feel. As a fan, I want them to get one of the top two picks, which would ensure them of getting a great prospect.

OTOH, I don't want things to be easy for Colangefag. If they land a top 2 pick, he'll basically just need a couple of moves to make them a contender. Even if he does nothing, they'll probably develop into a good team within 3 years. Part of me wants them to get the 3rd or 4th pick and force him to find the superstar.

I feel like, we the fans, have suffered along with the coaches and Hinkie to get to this point only to have a bunch of random dudes come in and reap the benefits. I hate hearing them talk about the lottery and how much is at stake like they know what we've gone through. (frank) them. They have no idea what it's been like for the people who stuck with this team.

So there's part of me that hopes the team drafts a bust and sucks again next year, so we can tear Colangelo a new one.

I guess the only thing that could save me from resentment is if Embiid becomes one of the most dominant players in the league. Then, even the most staunchest of Hinkie haters will need to give him credit (they won't, but deep down inside they'll know the truth).
