I really wish there was an NHL version of Russ. It would be like if 25 year old Ovechkin was angry with the world and wanted to score a goal every time he touched the puck while simultaneously humiliating you.

Team should have offered him an extension last summer with a de-escalating salary. That way they'd be able to keep him for this year and next year then trade him if Embiid remained healthy.

2. Sixers get insurance in case Embiid is hurt
3. Contract becomes very tradeable after first year

I also think Embiid and Noel would work fine together for short stretches because they're both elite defenders.

If Noel didn't want to extend, then you look to deal him at the deadline or next offseason.

I view Okafor totally independent of the other bigs. He's just a bad player and his bad play will only re-enforce the negative things people know. At least in the offseason his problems could have been explained away as being part of a disastrous season. Now, he has no excuses. He sucks and everyone knows it. His value is much lower than it was in June.
