When you set the prerequisites that the GM can't hire his own people, can't have ultimate final say and must coordinate all moves with a pre-chosen group of people, you're pretty much left with a guy like Elton Brand.

I believe the Sixers have good, smart people within their front office-including Brand- but the organizational structure is so fukt and will ultimately lead to their downfall.
