1. Embiid clearly has some attitude issues. He's 21 and just became a millionaire. Always choose talent over maturity and hope the player matures later.

2. I can understand why Sixers marketing offices and Brett Brown were upset about the MCW trade. It took their only PG and traded him for an asset they won't get for 1-3 years. I don't think they'll be upset if that asset turns into a good player. MCW is not a good shooter and likely never will be. I commend Hinkie for having the brass balls to make that deal and not wait around so every GM finds out he can't shoot too.

3. Saric deal has a buyout after 2 years. He likely won't come over until 2017-18, but whatever. It's not like Hinkie could have known the NBA salary cap would be expanding by $40M over the course of two seasons. Saric will also be close to a finished product when he arrives.

4. The article talks about how other teams were worried about Embiid's immaturity before the draft, but Bill Simmons mentioned several times that multiple teams made strong offers to try and move up to get Embiid. So, basically, the other teams were concerned, but they would have given up a significant asset just to take Embiid.

5. Re: Brett Brown, the article states that ownership may be losing patience with him because other Popavic coaches have flamed out. Not sure who he is referring to, but Steve Kerr is a Pop guy and he won the title. Mike Budenholzer is a Pop guy and the Hawks finished with the best record in the East last year.

6. Finally, the idea that Hinkie hasn't brought in guys for Brett Brown's system is ridiculous. The entire point of this thing is to just bring in raw, talented players and see how they develop. No GM uses a top 3 pick on a player who fits their system, they use it on the most talented player available.

Apparently the writer of the article has been a known Hinkie hater for years. Already multiple reports of inconsistencies in the story.

I think he just wanted to make sure it was uncontested.

It reminded me of a kid I played with during a summer league one year. When the opposing team would grab a rebound he'd put his hand up and yell outlet. It would work 2-3 times every game. Guys would just throw it right to him. Kid was an bumhole and it was a bush-league move, but it worked.

According to ESPN's merciless Basketball Power Index, this collection of Sixers steps up to Year 3 of the Sam Hinkie Era with a 50 percent (or better) chance of victory in just four of 82 games this season. Worse yet: Denver's visit to Philly on Dec. 5 is the first of those four opportunities ... in game No. 20 of 82.

It's a flawed system because teams sit a lot of their starters against the Sixers and many veteran teams that are out of the playoff hunt will really just stop trying the second half of the season.

I expect a really bad start like last season, but around 20 wins overall.
