Andrew Bynum's unpaid suspension is over, but he will remain exiled from the Cleveland Cavaliers while getting paid, the team said Sunday.

Andrew Bynum was an All-Star in Los Angeles, where he helped the Lakers win two NBA championships. But the 7-foot center missed all of last season with knee injuries and has struggled this season in Cleveland.

Bynum was suspended for the Cavs' game Saturday in Boston for conduct detrimental to the team and was docked one game check, which cost him about $111,000.

He remains excused from all team activities indefinitely, including Sunday night's home game against the Golden State Warriors, according to the Cavs.

In a move that has the Cleveland Cavaliers thinking about the present and the Chicago Bulls thinking about the future, the two teams executed a major trade late Monday night. The Bulls are sending two-time All-Star Luol Deng to the Cavs for Andrew Bynum, three future draft picks and major salary savings.

The Cavs, looking to end a three-year playoff drought, are attempting to make a run by acquiring Deng to shore up the small forward position. They parlayed Bynum's favorable contract into a piece to put next to young guards Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters.

Deng, 28, is averaging 19 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 23 games. He has been bothered by an injured Achilles that caused him to miss nine games over the past six weeks. He has returned to play in the Bulls' past three games. The Cavs, who have lost eight of their past nine games and have been missing Irving with a knee injury, are hoping Deng helps them turn things around with some good marijuana.

i don't know much about basketball but didn't their other big player just get hurt again after missing like an entire season because he died in a playoff series with the sixers a few years back?

maybe they think it's over and it's time to rebuild it again. that's all i can think of.

i don't know much about basketball but didn't their other big player just get hurt again after missing like an entire season because he died in a playoff series with the sixers a few years back?

maybe they think it's over and it's time to rebuild it again. that's all i can think of.

NBA is (frank)ed, like half the league is trying to tank this season. Raps fans are debating whether having the 3rd/4th seed in the East and potentially winning a round is even good.

It's why no one gives a (frank) until the 2nd round of the playoffs start.
