I've been thinking about moving down and the ideal spot seems to be Minnesota at #7. Josh Jackson is a Thibs kinda player and would fit well on that team. I'm just worried that the Suns could take Isaac and the Magic would take Monk leaving the Sixers with their Richard in their hand.

The more I think about it, the more I want them to just take Isaac or Monk at #3. I remember wanting Porzingas, but being talked out of it because the general consensus had Okafor at #3. I won't let that happen again. I don't want Jackson. Nate Duncan pretty much ripped Jackson to shreds on his pod this morning and it just reinforced my stance.

I'm pretty sure the Suns would love Jackson at #4, so maybe you squeeze an asset out of them in order to swap spots.

yeah that's my point. too risky to move down. all youre gonna get is like a couple 2nds or some poop

im with you. Isaac or Monk at 3

He's an NBA guy who goes back and watches a bunch of prospects after the season. He doesn't really watch live College BBall at all.

I've only heard him do last year's guys and few this year. He was pretty much bang on last year though. Had Simmons, Jaylen Brown and Jamal Murray in his top 3 and that's probably how the draft would play out a year later. Didn't like Ingram all that much when everyone (me included) loved him.

I love that all the analytics nerds (PSG, Bodner, Nate) are all slowly turning against Jackson while all the old guard are still all about him

I read an article on Nylon Calculus today about how people in the NBA are predisposed to making the "safe pick" despite everything saying that's a bad idea.

I honestly think GMs make the safe pick because:

a.) It gives them some momentary satisfaction because no one will criticize the move immediately and

b.) If the player busts, it's easier to pass off as fluky rather than a bad decision.

Several people have made allusions to Scott O'Neil having some influence in basketball ops decisions. He's hated Hinkie since the MCW trade
