you should stick to hockey fam, i probs been watching b-ball since before you entered this earth. kawhi is 1 and done and derozan still had 3 years left on his deal and actually wanted to be in toronto. kawhi will have zero motivation next season knowing he's out the door at free agency or the trade deadline if the raps are going nowhere and they can't get him signed. raptors have a problem getting good players to come to toronto and they just shipped out 1 who had 3 years left on his deal for a better player maybe but have no control over what he does after 1 season and he wants to go to la.

DeRozan is literally a net negative in his playoff career. Just escaping his contract is good. Giving up a good backup C who doesn’t have high offensive upside and a top 20 protected first for 1 year of a top 10 player when healthy is a decent price. No one cares about non-elite C’s that can’t shoot 3’s, they can easily be signed or traded for.

You must love treadmills, because that’s what the Raps were on before this deal. Where the hell was DD gonna lead this team to? Now they have a good chance to come out of the East and can rebuild after that.
