What the (frank) does pound for pound even mean? It makes no sense unless you are considering selling pieces of NBA players by the pound.

Saric deal is for 3 years with an opt out after 2 years. Saric has stated that he will definitely be opting out after 2 years or sooner. If he wants to leave after one season, he seems to think he'd be able to. The buyout would likely be above the NBAs buyout threshold and because of this would count against the Sixers 2015-16 cap. This shouldn't be a problem for a team way below the cap ceiling.

My guess is that Saric tears up his league, wins MVP and takes home a championship. With nothing left to accomplish, he will work out a deal to come to the Sixers next season. This would result in the Sixers having Embiid, Saric and another top 5 pick joining the roster in 2015-16

It just drives me crazy when people use this cliche. It makes no sense. It's basically saying that Iverson was good, but he would have been amazing if he was 6 inches taller. I'm pretty sure every NBA player would be amazing if they retained the same amount of skill, but added 6 inches.

It may not be the best financial move for Saric to come over after 1 season, but I think the difference in money would be minimal. The way he talks, it seems he has a good relationship with the ownership of his current European team. They may just let him walk if he wants to.

It doesn't really make much sense financially or competitively to stay in Europe past 2 seasons though. I would be shocked if he wasn't here by the 16-17 season.

im still kinda confused about how the lineup will shake out when he does come over, tbh

i originally thought he could be a big SF but it doesnt seem realistic anymore

I think you need to just look at the talent and let things play out. I know you don't want to hear this, but not every first round pick is guaranteed. It's good to just accumulate assets. Next year's draft is deep with big men, so they're likely to enter the season with a wealth of talent at forward and center.

Just let things play out and it will become clearer. Saric may be a great guy to bring off the bench anyway. People say he's very similar to Kukoc.
