Emblid and a top 3 pick should make a big difference.

I know its still tough to judge MCW without a supporting cast, but the defense thing is making me think he might be worth building around. Obvs the height is a big deal as a PG but also having a guy with 2+ years learning under Brown's defensive system being able to communicate to the other guys could be invaluable.

I actually feel the same way. I wasn't sure about him before the season started, but now I think he'll be a good player long term. Tall PGs take longer to develop, but can be real mis-match problems later on. If he adds strength, I can see him being able to take advantage of other PGs in the post or on drives to the basket.

I was looking back trying to find a comp for him and I realized that almost all PGs who get drafted are weak shooters. He lost development time this past offseason because he had shoulder surgery. He needs to at least become an adequate shooter, but he doesn't need to be great. Lots of great PGs in the current NBA and in NBA history who couldn't shoot. Jason Kidd was a terrible shooter for much of his career. Rondo and Wall both still can't shoot.

ESPN did a 30 for 30 all about him and Vlade Divac. It was kind of interesting. I forget his (frank)ing name. Something Croatian like Djokogoviacvyechev
