at this point all trades by Homer should be checked and double checked - vejim
If you have seen world war z then you should know about "the tenth man" its when 9 other people all decide on the exact same thing so no matter how much sense it makes the 10 man has to disagree and they do the opposite |

I don't know if they would give you Jamie for Giroux right now - blizzzard
I really hope he's still dealing with his injury....because he's really not engaging like he did in the last couple seasons. |

It would certainly suck if he wasn't still injured. Maybe he needs to be pulled out for a few games and re examined ? |

It does seem like he came back awfully quick. I thought both he and Voracek were going to have outstanding years, haven't really seen much from either to start the season. |

I don't mind Brian Bruke. Oddly enough I liked him a whole lot more after watching his release conference. I wouldn't say he is better then Lou but I would love to have him there to remind Lou that you can't be as loyal as Lou likes to be. |

The top line goes as G goes. Hartnell and Jake became way too reliant on G to do the work and they're both off the top unit because of it.
I honestly think missing the preseason was Giroux's downfall thus far. He looks like he's starting to shake off the rust, but he's still clearly rattled. I wish Vinny hadn't gotten hurt. He was really giving G some solid work on the wing. |

The reason the Leafs traded Luke was due to his rift with captain Dion, But it worked out for the Leafs who got JVR. But still, hopefully Luke will remain a Flyer for the rest of the season. If the Leafs don't resign Dion, mabie they can than look into re-acquriring Luke. It obviously won't work with Luke & Dion on the same team. |

they traded him because he blew and they had an opportunity to steal a top 6 forward in the process. |

Will this affect him becoming captain of the Leafs? - oniremosewa
Boy how the mighty have fallen. Luke Schenn once seemed to be destined to be the next Leaf captain. Now he's becoming a potential journeyman. |

Everything fell into place for a trade with the Leafs. Luke's rift with Dion & the fact that the Flyers offered a player in JVR who Burke coveted. Yes due to the Luke/Dion rift, Luke had to be dealt. But Burke is not stupid, he wasn't going to give Luke away unless he got full value. Make no mistake, the rift did play a part in this. |

Not sure what Dallas would be willing to trade that would fit the Flyers needs in a deal for Luke Schenn.
They're not going to move Benn, Seguin or Nichushkin, and guy like Trevor Daley would be a good fit, but given the age differences, that's not enough for Schenn, IMO.
Despite his struggles, he's shown flashes of being a good second pair defenseman and is still pretty young. - Jsaquella
Seriously, you are bringing up those names for Luke Schenn? What a joke. Think third round pick. He doesn't have alot of value. That isn't enough for Schenn? What a joke. A second round pick at best might be too much. |

The master of the trade. It's funny how much he got ripped for the Kessel trade. He built an entire good young core in Toronto, mostly through great trades. |

Well, Burke did change 100% of Murray's defense in Anaheim. |

Just like when the Leafs were shopping Kaberle. obviously a team in the bottom 5 wasn't going to trade a 11st for him but eventually a team that finished in the upper 10 did trade a a 1st for Kabby. So mabie a contender who'll finish high up in the standings will offer a 1st for Schenn. I think Luke is worth a first pick between 20th & 25th. |
