0 assist in 35 and 6 in the last 66. Good lord - nastyflyergirl
Thats it. Not spending another dollar on this team until wholesale changes are made. They need to sell me on this franchise moving forward.
We've become the Chicago Cubs of hockey. |

As soon as he signed the new contract, he's simply not going to the dirty areas the way he used to, or getting under people's skin. He needs to do that to be effective offensively - Jsaquella
Hartnell will be 38 when his contract expires and has a no movement clause. There's really not much the Flyers can do to him to affect his future other than buy him out. Unfortunately the compliance buyouts were used on 2 of Holmgren's other big money signings. |

If the Flyers have the 2 would be ok by me. Although at some point they have to start scoring goals. I mean 2 goals or less in 12 out of 13 games is beyond futile. |

Maybe they can package him with Laughton to a team with buyouts to spare. |

Does anyone know why Lecavalier was unable to play last game? He had a face bruise right? Why couldnt he wear half shield half cage like he is tonight? Just seems a bit.... un-hockeyplayerish. |

Holmgren did take the team from the depths of the league, to a contender in short order, but he's had a miserable couple of years. I think it's time for him to go.
Snider needs to get out of the way and let Hextall handle the personnel decisions. Having an 80 year old man getting involved in player transactions is insanity. - PLindbergh31
You need to think about how Holmgren did that. First off Carter and Richards matured which didn't have alot to do with Holmgren making moves. Secondly he went out and bought the most expensive free agent on the market in Briere (who was bought out last year) and traded away draft picks like a madman.
The results of those "win now" moves have left us where we are now, capped out and no farm system. The good news is the cap goes up again next year and the players that are 3-5 years away from contributing will now be 2-4 years away from contributing (assuming they are still Flyers property).

Sounds like Rangers are in hunt for Yakupov too. Thier asking price is Kreider, Staal, and a 1st. I'm still wondering if the 2 schenns can get it done..... |

Was said elsewhere they thought his jaw was injured. Perhaps swelling finally went down to where chin strap/helmet isn't uncomfortable or causing irritable pain? |

Your not giving Homer enough credit. He also got Coburn for Zhitnik, Made a deft move to land Hartnell and Timonen, got Pronger.... and it got us to the SCF. |

Yeah, that was this place not that long ago. I still have a couple people I text regularly that don't post here anymore. I've met more than a couple people on here that I now consider pretty good friends even if I can't see them very often because of distance. - mayorofangrytown

Dont hockey players play through irritable pain? Didn't Brindy play on a broken ankle? Just saying.
A bruise on the face, is a hell of a long way from the heart.... |

Eh, we don't know if it was more than that or how swelled up he was or if he had a mild concussion.
I've seen Vinny Lecavalier play for a long time; I'm not going to question his heart. |
