Sabres were lucky to get the win. Should have been over on the missed goal in OT.
Now that the Sabres have had a turn of fortune in their favour... will we stop hearing about the non-goal by Hull ("foot in the crease") from fans?
Ya... didn't think so... |

this call didn't directly result in the handing out of the stanley cup. Just saying.
But yes, this game should have ended. It was clearly a goal, no idea how they don't review that. |

Might be nice to mention it in a story about that game though... |

Yup...
Every time I go to the first Niagara Center I hear someone mention how "they should have a cup"
Just saying... missed calls happen... for AND against... |

I have season tickets and I literally have not heard that mentioned by a Sabres fan in over 5 years. Most bars in the area, bringing either that or Drury/Briere up is a good way to get punched in the shoulder (if you're lucky).
Usually, it's being brought up by other teams' fans, oddly enough.
End of the day, they failed to enforce a stupid rule. I'm over it. |

Got to love the effort by Myers there. He should buy the refs dinner. |

Sabres on pace for 34 points..which would be the lowest total since the expansion sens in 92-93. They actually should be 2-13-2.
Just for comparison, the blue jackets got 71 points their first season in the league, this sabres team is worse than an expansion team and somehow their GM has managed to keep his job. |

Most of the time that is due to the 06 series when the Sabres lost 4 of the top 6 D-men to injury sickness and infections.
Like was mentioned, "No Goal" is rarely brought up by Sabres fans and is normally brought up by fans of other teams being an ass. hmmm..... |

I go to roughly 10 games a year as My Dad has Season tix as well.
I would say i regularily hear mention of how they "always get screwed".
The fact is that when a Sabres fan harasses me (when they are for example beating the habs in the past) I hear ridiculous things like "we would have as many cups as the Habs if the Refs didn't screw us over... blah blah blah... "
I never bring it up. Maybe it's the tools in section 120. |

that's nice. Let's just end the season now and assume that Colorado will also finish with 151 pts... |

Garth, it's obviously because of Jeremy Jacobs.. Oh, and don't forget that Gregory Campbell is Colin's son.

Seidenberg hit the upper chest and the head snapped forward. In Chara's case the guy was falling to his knees. Chara didn't even completely follow through. Also important to note that both these hits were from the FRONT and most penalties/cheap shots that are being called to see Shanny are from behind or blindside when there is no chance for the player to defend themself. I'm all for getting the cheap stuff out of the game but these two hits don't even rank in the top 100 this year. |

Wow, watching that .gif, it's clear Myers had an even better game than I first thought, and I thought he played pretty damn well last night prior to seeing that.
Tallinder put it properly, that Tyler is at his best when he is all over the ice.
That is his game (skating & being aggressive), not being a purely physical force. |

Its pretty clear the NHL is covering. All analyst can't understand how the ref did not get a call to the headset. Its a case of the NHL "guessing" what the ref was thinking. Anyways its done. Hopefully they realize their mistake and next time will get it right. |

I think it's more of a terrible rule more than a horrible explanation. |
