I think it's more of a terrible rule more than a horrible explanation. - buffalofan19
Clearly it was a kicking motion. No goal

Seidenberg hit the upper chest and the head snapped forward. In Chara's case the guy was falling to his knees. Chara didn't even completely follow through. Also important to note that both these hits were from the FRONT and most penalties/cheap shots that are being called to see Shanny are from behind or blindside when there is no chance for the player to defend themself. I'm all for getting the cheap stuff out of the game but these two hits don't even rank in the top 100 this year. - Muskwa
I like to consider myself as having been pretty quiet on the "well how come John Scott got suspended and this Boston player did not" front, but it's starting to seem that there is at least one of these a game with Boston. Odds are that at least one of these would at least go to review sooner or later. It's getting kind of stupid. I don't know if it's Boston favoritism or simply pure incompetence on the league's part (I tend to lean towards the latter), but it's getting more than ridiculous. Boston has always played right along that fine line. Everybody knows this, and to suggest they simply haven't crossed it ever, not even once, just defies all odds, and quite frankly, insults my intelligence. |

I don't wish harm on anyone in the league. But I want Chara's career to end. He is a repeat offender… not with suspensions but he headshot's a player every other game it seems like. "It's because he's tall" is the lamest excuse ever.

hmmmmm.. interesting .
tap, tap, tap, tap. could have used the same excuse for Scotts hit. 5" shorter and its shoulder to shoulder. Us Sabres were pissed cause we have seen all those hits and nothing . I can remember seeing 5 or so hits worse than Scotts and not even a look at . They called it a hockey play.

It was funny. Back in 2011, when Horton got creamed, a lot of Boston people got on everyone else for "blaming the victim". Now, it seems that every one of these, that's what's happening. Most of these probably shouldn't be suspended, but definitely not all of them. |

There's your problem right there.
Scott isn't a hockey player. He's a shaved Gorilla. |

Are buffalo fans still irked that scott had to take a seat? John scott?! Take it from the guy who actually played the game, andy brickley, said it was just a strong hockey play. People are so fascinated with reviewing everything now that we go to great lengths comparing scott and kaleta hits to other players hits, even weeks later. Was the hit late? No. Was the hit from the blindside? Absolutely not. Did fiddler miss time? No, in fact he tied the game later. Time to move on garth, your big bad sabres are still cellar dwellers and you're still a homer amateur blogger. |

Think it was other teams calling for Charas head . We just hate the bruins and most of the fans . Seems to be the norm around here. |

Terrible call. Miller clearly had not a clue where it was. Let them play. |

No it was your boy garth, and I believe he said something along the lines of charas hit on wengels (which seems like weeks ago) was just as bad if not worse than scotts hit on eriksson, and alot of sabre fans were in agreement. I guess we will just have to get used to this commentary out of buffalo |
