Its amazing how people will never give the Rangers credit after a solid effort. Its always the other team playing poorly or having to many injured players.
The Pens didnt lose the game, the Rangers won it and what a great win it was.

If that were the deal, it would have been done already. Edmonton has come out publicly and said they're moving him. Translation: We don't like the offer we currently have on the table. - OLDSCHOOL#6
Well that should do wonders for his psyche. Telling him he is chained to Edmonton and a coach who hates him, removes all hope. By the way, it is usually a dumb decision to not move a guy and improve your team, simply because he was your first pick.
Beating the Penguins, lighting up the "Flower" and disrespecting Crosby, makes for a great night that every team in the league should get the chance to enjoy! |

oh yeah, forgot to say, that goalie interference call on Ryan Callahan last night was worst call in NHL history. Like ever. - jimbro83
Replay coming to hockey? "Upon further review, the player was pushed into the goalie by the defenseman, but I'm incompetent and missed that part of the play" |

Not sure anyone truly knows what they're are doing in Edmonton, reminds me of Columbus BJD. |

Kreider playing w an edge in addition to his offense is just awesome to watch. Adams gave him about 5 crosschecks before finally getting called at the end.
And as much as I like Dorsett, he gets waxed way to often in scraps. He is not a good fighter, always game...but so was Ryan Hollweg. |

I'm liking how Stepan's last 4 goals were assisted by Kreider & MZA. Good lil line we got going on there |

I guess Dallas Eakins, Daren Dreger and Bob Mckenzie saying the Oilers are not shopping Nail Yakupov isn't credible enough. |

PR man... you gotta remember, you start saying you're shopping a player, his trade value drops tremendously. While the oilers aren't exactly calling teams like "hey do you want this kid?" they are listening to offers. That's all that means. |

of course the coach isn't gonna say that, 'hey nail just a little more patience and you're gone now go play 100% for us' |

Yes we do, need a scorer. Ales Hemsky is a turd. But he's only guy on the Oilers that's a realistic option. |

Why would a turd be an option... I don't think we need him. |

dreger never said he isn't being shopped. quite the opposite actually; he said that the oilers will definitely have to consider dealing yakupov for MDZ if MDZ is available. |

i don't think it's physically possible to acquire hemsky with that cap hit. even if edmonton retains the most salary cap they can in the deal, i just don't know if it could fit. |

Yeah, I thought the same thing but then someone mentioned the idea of Nash being on the injury thingy so his cap doesn't count? |

if it were that serious, he'd probably be on LTIR already. he's skating now and might be back anywhere between 2-5 weeks. |

He said last night on NHL network. He exact quote was " The Oilers are not shopping Nail Yakupov. The believe that the former #1 overall pick will be a dynamic player one day. What they are worried about is his defensive game. And that is reflected in his plus/minus so far this season." |

hmmm well at this point i might be grasping at straws but there's a difference between shopping and listening to offers, right?....right??!?
somethings up and i don't think 3 oilers execs would be at 3 ranger games in a row to scout a guy like pyatt or boyle or dorsett for a deal with hemsky. gut feeling tells me they've been scouting some of the bigger guys like staal, girardi, and MDZ. |
