Yes we do, need a scorer. Ales Hemsky is a turd. But he's only guy on the Oilers that's a realistic option. - tomburton99
That's not an option, he's terrible. |

hmmm well at this point i might be grasping at straws but there's a difference between shopping and listening to offers, right?....right??!?
somethings up and i don't think 3 oilers execs would be at 3 ranger games in a row to scout a guy like pyatt or boyle or dorsett for a deal with hemsky. gut feeling tells me they've been scouting some of the bigger guys like staal, girardi, and MDZ. - rangerdanger94

If it doesn't involve Eberle or Yakupov, there is nothing that Edmonton would make available, that I would want the Rangers to pursue. |

That'd be incredibely stupid for the Oilers to do - Cptmjl
yea really dumb for any team to consider a 23 year old offensive defenseman that logs 20+ mins a game and has been in the league for 6 years. |

He has skill. Talent is there. He's weak minded and definitely not going to battle every shift. I want the Rangers to stay away from him. |

Hall Nuge Shultz........ - mrhattrick27
All three are likely untouchables for Edmonton. |

Like I said, he's terrible, never questioned his talent level. He defines the term soft and he is not a goal scorer.
The Rangers need a guy who can score with ease; Hemsky is not that guy. |

Gagner is out until January with a broken jaw.
Good player but not a need. The Rangers are actually ok, up the middle, what they need is a legitimate goal scorer. |

I got an email from the Islanders to buy tickets to the Nashville game next week.
If I buy tickets, I would get "sparky bucks"

He's back, just played vs. Florida. I do agree with you only because I think Same Gagner is way over hyped. Guy has never scored 20, never had more than 40 helpers and obviously never had more than 50 point in any single season. |

Gotta be Yaks, just looking at the roster... Perron? Ugh I dunno
EDIT: Perron hurt eh, yikes. Gotta be Yaks. |

and yet he's locked up to a $5 mil a year deal...just like every other kid (except yak) on that team. |

Sam Gagner has 417 nhl games under his belt, he has scored 258 points. Good for .62 ppg. Stepan is a .67 ppg player with 190 less games played.
Edit: Gagner is definitely skilled and even flashy at some points, but how has he yet to score 50 points in one season. I don't get it. |

But has he scored 8 points in ONE game
Realistically, not a lot of options other than Yak from the Oil. |

Well at least I was half right,
Yakupov or Eberle, since Hall is likely as unavailable as McDonagh is. |

Anyone else find it amusing that the whole game, they referred to Pen's goalie as "Marc Andre Fleury", but then he lets in 4 goals and they begin to simply refer to him as "Fleury"...anybody else catch that? |
