I have a crick in my neck here at work. My eyes are sore from crying myself to sleep after the game last night.
And I apparently need a life which does not revolve around hockey or work...
Going to go spend some time with my hot-ass fiancee tonight... And put some time into gaming...
EDIT: Some of this post might be an exageration. - FlyersGrace
Sounds like a personal problem |

Ek says big news from Metro today... better be us not rangers or devils. - youarewrong
Agreed and better be something more substantial then taking the C from Giroux.
That's great if you do that but you are still avoiding the problem, talent, with superficial moves. |

What could the news be from the metro division? More than 1 Metro team wins on the same day? - claimdenied

Whoever we trade to EDM for Eberle will certainly score tomorrow, just because. |

Schenn for Grossmann and Couturier for the first ? plus you'll get nothing for the second ? I'd think. - mayorofangrytown
I don't like giving up Schenn Emery and Cooter for one player
seems like over payment to me |

Please don't strip the c. Can a guy work through it for once? |

I'd rather see Grossman or coburn thrown into the deal
the oilers need more experienced dmen and not another young one like schenn |

You're getting a potential All Star Forward for the next few years, what are you potentially giving back to them in that trade other than solid role players that they need. You're getting the best player in the deal. |

That would be great. I'd love it even better but I don't see why Edmonton would take that for Eberle.
This is a classic over value you what you have and under value what you're getting. |

I hear a lot of people saying Coutuier and Schenn suck then others saying trading them together is over payment. Hard to keep track anymore who's worth what.. |

I also am baffled at why we would strip the captaincy from Claude Giroux, but maybe I shouldn't be -- if you're the best player on a team in Philadelphia, it isn't long before you're eligible to be run out of town.
Just off the top of my head, Jonathan Toews gets to play with Patrick Kane or Marian Hossa or Patrick Sharp. Steven Stamkos gets to play with Martin St. Louis.
Claude Giroux has played with revolving wingers all year, including Michael Raffl and an AHL player in Tye McGinn who the Flyers can't seem to wait to send back down.
Again, that doesn't mean Giroux couldn't be playing better. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Steven Stamkos looks a lot more like Claude Giroux does right now if he's playing with Michael Raffl instead of Martin St. Louis. |

Perhaps I don't understand the "talent" argument. I'm being totally serious. Maybe I'm not using the right terminology when I say that the team doesn't have enough talent.
They're averaging 1.47 goals per game. They finished 25th in even-strength scoring last year.
Maybe instead of saying they just don't have the talent to score, maybe I should say other teams are more talented?
I'm being totally serious. If there's a better word, or definition, to describe what we're doing, I would be happy to use that, because I do feel that the problem lies with the actual players who are not doing the scoring, and would use that term to describe it in comparison to other teams that are doing it better than we are. - AllInForFlyers
Yes, we all realize their goals per game average is hideous. But I don't understand how you can look at a team that had 5 of the same core players who all scored near or more than 20 goals in a full season two years ago and then because they struggled last year and are struggling to score this year somehow that means they will won't be able to do it again. That's the impression I'm getting from those who are claiming there isn't enough talent on this team.
My struggle with your claim is that it sounds like you are taking a team that wasn't able to score last year and is also struggling to score for the first few games this year and just assuming that if the Flyers iced this roster for the next four years, the result would be the same and that they would still not be able to score. That is certainly possible, but is the solution to that to just blow up the team? Doesn't that fall in line with the current Flyers philosophy of acting too quickly? I'm not the most articulate so perhaps I am too dense to understand what exactly you are saying, so if that's the case, I apologize. |

I know people are frustrated... me more than anyone, but we can't make desperation trades while our players values are crazy low. Makes no sense.. They have to work themselves out of this unless a fair trade can be made, but the vulture GMs are circling. |

Hell man, I'm not saying they suck. I'm saying that's what it will probably take to get Eberle out of Edmonton. This isn't a vacuum. There will be GMs lined up around the corner if Eberle become available. In my considered opinion having watched far too many Oilers games in the last couple years, he's the second best player on that team. |

Joe Thornton was traded for Marco Sturm, Wayne Primeau, and Brad Stuart
I think Joe Thornton was a better player than Eberle when Joe was traded than Eberle is now

You have obviously never had a solo D&D game where role-playing was empasized and the player gets to seduce their favorite NPC... |
