If Edmonton sent Dubnyk down to the AHL, straight-up, then that could mean they're making a move for a goalie -- there's no way they're going with a combo of Jason LaBarbera, who has also been horrific, and Richard Bachman, who was banged up the other night.

Dubnyak is VERY telling. Edmonton is getting a goalie somehow... Its either Mason or a 3 way trade and that is why its so slow developing.

I think whatever happens today, if the FLyers are involved, it might be almost as big as frick and frack day....

The Flyers have Downie, Hartnell and Simmonds in their top 9 forwards right now.

Too much toughness and penalties, not nearly enough skating and goal scoring.

I agree, I like Simmonds, but I am so tired of having energy guys who have total hands of stone. Zero confidence of him going in solo, and I hate that. I know every team needs these type guys, but it seems they have historically been higher per capita on the Flyers.

Downie I can live with if he can keep his head on straight for an extended period of time.

Hartnell has been diminishing returns since his extension and it is really time to move on. The first signs he shows of picking up his pace, I'd shop him to anyone. If it gets bad/uncomfortable enough, I can see anyone waiving the no-trade.

Nah. I'm back from lunch and no tears, yet.

Imagine if the league's worst defensive team shuts the Flyers out tomorrow.

If the coach hadn't already been fired I would think that the players were trying to get the coach fired. There's really not a good reason for this unprecedented level of offensive ineptitude.
