its just natural that his arms are in the shoulder are of most people. and the game moving so fast i understand how he can make some contact to thehead sometimes.
- Cherry--Skoal

Solid play by Dion right there

I was more impressed with Franson's defensive effort...

I want these guys round 1 again, last year was some of the best hockey I've been emotionally involved in in a long time. I know we can take them and I want to see it happen.

no.. he actually is 5'4
- Cherry--Skoal

ok so a 6 ft guy hits a 5'4 gerbe in the head still a penalty how is it any different there are height differences for all guys and everyone else has to be careful not to hit the head just cuz chara is bigger then everyone else means he has to be more careful about hitting guys in the head keep his hands and arms down so he doesnt hit a guy in the head

Yeah and that last play was another example of the classic braincramp that he cannot avoid.
- fifty__missions

The game was over. I wasn't banking on scoring a goal inside 2 minutes after botching another PP.

Franson could've played his man a lot better there, too.

Bruins hockey in their rink man. Its pretty much a given that it'll get nasty and they know and leverage that to their advantage. We can't complain about penalties though; softies on both sides, non-calls both ways too. Typical NHL officiating.

Leafs hung in there and made it tough for the Bruins. Gone are the days when the Bruins would laugh them out of the building. Healthy lineup for the Leafs and it could have been very different

meh didn't mind that effort. Ranger is still a plug. Good game for Reimer. Build on that effort boys - 4 or 5 winnable games in the next week or 2.

I concur. 1st was terrible, 2nd was great, 3rd was a wash... tough to beat the Bruins in their barn.
- gravyface

Agreed. Leafs were all over them in the 2nd.

They're still jerking themselves off to the Boston shift for 2mins in he 1st, but no mention of the leafs similar shift in the 2nd.

Great hockey to watch though. I'll take some nastiness and non-calls over whistle-fest any night.

We all thought we were losing this one. We turned it into a close game, I am pretty happy with the effort, except the first.
- Drapz

Not a bad game to lose in the end. I only wish the Leafs got a little dirty in the end since it was "anything goes" as far as the refs were concerned. Toronto's fault for not picking up on that.

the leafs lost because they didnt play well for the entire game. the fact that the refs missed blatant calls were just annoying. if the leafs win this game the refs were still bad. this idea that we are only complaining about the wretched officiating when the leafs lose needs to stop.

It wasn't anything goes,

It was "Boston goes"

Headshots, dirty play, everything is fine.
