Unless, of course, you're hammar, who clearly would have not only the greatest mentor effect of any tender in the game today, because of his gold metal winning experience (he certainly knows what it takes to win...)- but he'd also simply outplay him for that starting gig.
It'd be a no brainer. Shame on the Cats - Giroux_Is_God

Sometimes I wish Bryz would shut his mouth sometimes.. So Philly has never had goalies? Hexy Bernie Pelle? What a tit.

I think you misread it. This statement is more than 2 years old and he was quoting other people talking to him.
Bryz does have a big mouth, but I think you pegged him wrong this time.
Also, he promised to write a book one day where he would describe his tenure in Philly. |

Good for her!
And thanks...I'll need it for Tuesday's exam....shouldn't be cramming for this but I am. That's what happens when you have 3 exams in 6 days, with 2 of those 6 days being the weekend - Giroux_Is_God
that's a rough stretch, good luck. i sucked at physiology in my 1st year in pharmacy school many years ago, barely passed. the worst stretch of exams i had was 2nd year, thanksgiving week, 4 exams in 3 days, the profs had no concern about what other tests we had, only concerned about their class. i hope for your sake the job market loosens up in a couple of years, it used to be fairly easy to find a good job until the universities decided that we needed more schools of pharmacy. too many graduates now but the schools don't care once you graduate, they made their money already. |

Agree on all counts.
I'll (hopefully) have some sort of leg up coming out of PCP since it's all prestigious and poop. Guess we'll see.
Gotta get through the gauntlet first....PnT next year and the year after that |

I see he is a plus 8 so far counting today (+2). is he going to be given a shot as a 5-6-7 on this team? - nastyflyergirl
There are quite a few dmen who should be given a shot next training camp. Lauri, Alt, I'm sure Morin will try to get a shot, Manning's getting to that point now. |

I kind of want him around Hall Gill in practices. Gill is a real pro and likely would help Ollie's game. |

See, bringing him in, to me, made sense. I wasn't expecting anything nuts- just that locker room vet presence and someone that was a capable fill in when needed. Sort of like an O'Donnel type thing, except a tad better on the ice.
I say this because I never thought I'd really like him. I love how he carries himself off the ice, I love his interviews, I love how he understands his role on the team, and I love how he embraces that role.
Hell, now I REALLY never thought I'd say this:
I was disappointed when he returned to being a healthy scratch. He played great those games and I loved the way he was calm with the puck. I'm really, really happy with how he's turned out so far.

You're reading it wrong, Bryz was saying that people were telling HIM, Philadelphia is not a place for goaltenders. |
