They haven't disclosed what exactly is injured. In the paper it just said he was sore and won't play tomorrow and will be evaluated. Not getting the impression he's going to be out for any significant time.

IF there was a trade going to happen would you guys think the rangers would be a realistic spot for him to land? If so what would you realistically expect back for him?

Surprised that a class Guy like Larionov would take his concerns public. He's not doing his Client any favours. The best approach would have been to meet behind closed doors with Oiler mgmt and see where that leads. Now, with the genie out of the bottle, there's no putting him back in and both the Oilers and Yak will suffer, in different ways.

I don't hate Staal he's a decent defender albeit a little overrated IMO but I'd think maybe you'd be pushing for Macdonaugh especially after Staal got his bell rung not long ago? Whether the Rags would give him up IDK, prob not? Rangers need offense(though their fwds have been good lately) If a trade were to happen it actually might be the best thing for you guys now and down the road. Whatever came back would help your blue line in a big way. Could see it happening. Fills needs for both teams. I can see you getting more than what you posted though...
