Two points, first, nobody will overpay. Second, Edmonton fans need to start holding Oiler management accountable for the screw ups. - spatso
First, someone is always willing to pay a little more for a commodity that they really want. Second, if the Oilers trade Yak and don't get a good return then the fans will hate them but if they don't trade Yak then the fans will hate them. It's a lose/lose situation. |

View think the Oil need to look at the Turris case in Phoenix. Had they moved him sooner they would have gotten a better return. - spatso
...And if they would have kept him he may have the success he is currently having in Ottawa. Hindsight is 20/20. |

he's a star on one of the worst teams in the league playing against those true playoff teams.
what are you talking about? he's better with more help and insulation. not worse. - hugefemale dog77
Have to agree with this 100%. Hall is a great player now, even better on a good team. |

yes but to say he is the best player on a playoff team hold more merit then being the best player on a perennial bottem dweller. - derm10
I guess.
shea weber was an elite player whether he played on Nashville lottery team last year or not.
stamkos is one of the best players in the world wether he played on tampa lottery team or not.
and it was established that lundqvist is probably their best player.
but it's debateable between hall and nash for their best forward.
it's clear you're attempting to take shots at hall, but the route your choosing isn't really making a whole lot of sense |

I smell a trade coming and Yakupov is going to be the key piece going the other way. MacT should weigh out all his offers and not just jump at the first decent offer. He could create a bidding war. |

mact isn't trading yaks just for the sake of it.
he doesn't get the package he wants for the 2012 1st overall and leading rookie goal and point guy...he keeps him. simple as that

i'll agree with this... mact need to make trades that bring in players they need.. and not simple a better player... getting players that improve the oilers for the long term is more important then "winning the trade" |

anyone who doesn't think hall is a special talent and a great player, flat out doesn't understand the game.
u can hate the oilers or hate hall for one reason or another. but this is just a fact.
I have zero love for ovechkin. who also has some holes in his game. but the guy is a great player.
same for many other players |

never once did i say he wasn;t great... was just saying he's not gunna walk on the ranger and be the best player hand down.... i would put a few other great players ahead on him. |

and I agreed.
lundqvist is hands down their best player.
as far as forwards go, nash and him are debateable.
some may say mcdonagh, I wouldn't agree, but it's certainly not a slam dunk one way or another. either way, kind of tough to compare the two players. |
