Leafs have been sold out for 40 years yet they've been mostly terrible. How does that saying go, something about stones and glass houses - LeftCoaster
yeah no kidding.. the leafs sucked for year.. but in t he past 5 yearsor so they have been much more accountable... brought in players to help the future and ship out any players who wasn;t part of the future... they built a team.. not a collection of talented players. |

it's generous of you to offer four bodies, but it's the quality that doesn't appeal vs just have two bodies of high end talent to help edm. |

i would not do that deal.

and I agreed.
lundqvist is hands down their best player.
as far as forwards go, nash and him are debateable.
some may say mcdonagh, I wouldn't agree, but it's certainly not a slam dunk one way or another. either way, kind of tough to compare the two players. - hugefemale dog77
i would say he's in the debate with stepan(probably above).. but richards nash mcdonagh and lundqvist have a leg up on him. |

He started off the season horrible, but he has improved a lot, and has a lot of room to grow. He might have the best one time shot in the league, he can tee it up. Hes a poor mans drew doughty. which says alot.

Considering the way the situation is progressing I don't think you'll get equal value back for him. Who do you guys want from the NYR in a hypothetical deal, McDonagh and Kreider? Please, take Girardi, but he's a UFA. Staal I might think of dealing even though he's a rock on defense, he's only got one year left and may bolt anyways. |

50 cents on the dollar may not be a bad deal at this point. |

he's on a different level than Derek stepan.
Richards is playing good again, and is a heck of a player when he's on. but again, id say hall is ahead for sure. at the very least, id assume the two are going in opposite directions in the near future |

typical oilers fan... u can't measure things by what will happen in the future....... the fact is hall would be behind nash and richard on the forward depth chart. |

no to staal. he probably bolts to carolina. girardi is ufa. edm would just simply wait and make a pitch to him in the off season. i wish mcdonagh and kreider, but nyr is not going to cough that up. |

Yak has alot of potential but that's all it is right now. Miller is a former 1st, Kristo has good offensive ability and another 1st rounder could help down the road. |

no chance of mcd and kreider. was just saying the names we'd want to make it worthwhile for us.
I doubt u deal mcd at all.
and girardi is a good player, but he's the one id want least and his contract doesn't help either.
id center a deal around staal....
if u don't want to give up any the guys mentioned, that s fine and I understand.
no deal to be made. |

That's why I'm saying, Lowe should take 3-4 B-rate pieces instead of trying for 2 A-grade parts which I don't think he'd get. If Nail is having these issues already a team will be gambling on him to get it together on their team. |

I hear you, and if Kreider wasn't starting to get it together I'd be open to dealing him but we need a young power forward which they haven't had for awhile. It'll be interesting to see where this ends up for you guys. |
