Not sure I'd do mcd for yak straight up. Were seeing mcd grow tremendously under AV and I believe can win the norris within the next 2/3 seasons. Jt miller gives edm a physical foward with offensive potential, a shutdown dman in girardi and dz a puck moving dman all things emd needs. I think its a good trade for both sides. |

For goalies i think hiller would be a good fit for the oilers or they should target younger goalies like markstrom or lehner. Hiller and Bryz would be a sick combo, bryz takes too much heat but he can be a good goalie just too much pressure is always on him, maybe this can be his role now and stick with the oilers further if they get a #1 like hiller |

Ryan Mcdonagh is untouchable as far as im concerned. Any mention of him in a deal should have sather hanging the phone up. Kids adding offense to his game and playing the point on the PP. Hes gonna be a star. |

Maybe i'm totally off base here but what about Yak, Gags, and our 1st to Philly for Couturier, Coburn and Simmonds. Oil immediately become grittier and better defensively by sacrificing some of the future. |

That's giving up way too much by Edmonton
Right now, that 1st is looking like a top5 pick
Eliminate that pick and it's a fair value trade IMO... But I doubt Philly would do it bc they give up a lot of their size
Philly is prob more likely to try n trade something like B.schenn & read in a deal for Yak |

I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal built around Myers & Yakupov
Maybe some additional pieces are added to either side to make it work?
There's a reason these rumors won't go away
It just makes sense
We have a lot of young defensive talent & u guys have a lot of young forward talent
Who knows though?
If u are going to actually trade him, I'm sure you'll get many offers & take whichever is the best fit for u moving forward |

I know both sides will cry foul and disagree and say it could never happen. But, if there is one team out there that really thinks they could instantly convert Yakupov into a star it is the Canadiens. We also know that the relationship between Subban and management is deteriorating fast. So the trade proposal.
From Montreal: Subban and a #1 pick
From Edmonton: Eberle and Yakupov

I'm not so sure Edmonton rapes it right winger depth for a D-Man even if it is Subban. Edm is left with Hemsky and Pitlick for RW if that deal happens... no dice

Two points, first, nobody will overpay. Second, Edmonton fans need to start holding Oiler management accountable for the screw ups. - spatso
QFT
Fans should stay away from the games. Provide an empty house for the team to play in.

i'll agree with this... mact need to make trades that bring in players they need.. and not simple a better player... getting players that improve the oilers for the long term is more important then "winning the trade" - derm10
I think you are generally a troll, but I agree with this.
Winning the trade is subjective, making the team better is a way to win the trade.
Yak may become the best player in the trade, but if the return for trading him makes the team better then the Oilers will win even if the other team wins also.

Serious question for everyone, if the Oil find a way to be worse than the Sabres this year do you think Mact and his band of merry "winners" draft for need (Ekblad) or BPA (Reinhart)? |

If we make that trade today and still finished last/29th I would personally fly from NZ to Edmonton just to take a dump on Katz's abomination of a child (and yes you can hold me to that)

Ekblad might be the bpa and d is what the oilers need. Him and nurse would be great to have moving forward |

Every time the Oilers make another draft pick though it's for the future. I absolutely think we need to start winning now before a young gun publicly calls for a trade. If Hall goes, I could easily see Ebs asking for a move to and we are back to square 1 |
