The one I'll never get is when trolls say the Oilers are not built for success and that their team is flawed, and then tell us each that Yakupov doesn't hold a candle to Gally or Huberdeau, or Hall to Tavares, because the Oilers team is so unreasonably loaded with so much talent.

I should have said what he said about Yak was fair. I forgot what he said about Daigle there. - Jack-artist

Can't hurt, can it?
As long as we don't send Eberle, Yakupov, Hall, Nuge for him, I'm down. Unless it's part of a bigger deal.
What about a J. Schultz for Myers deal? - ystoil
Myers has been the Sabres best defenseman. You are not getting him for Schultz |

Damage control and no support for Yak with the media... "I just want to help my team win every game, "love the city and want to play for this team"- poor kid under seige |
|
|
|
Sure, but there is nothing wrong with making it and losing first round. That was the next step. I figured we'd have a couple tough years in the playoffs and then move an Eberle or whoever, but now we can't even make it - Lahey
I Agree, going from being a bottom team for the last couple of years to playing 1 round in the playoffs would of been a good experience for them. But as you said we all still knew tough years would of been ahead of them to move further and chances are one or more of the kids would have to be traded to take that next step. It just looks like we might have to make that move sooner. |

Stauffer on twitter- the time has come for RNH, EBS and HALL to play together! |
|
|
|
Poor Yaks fed to wolves - his (frank)ing agent should have at least been there after the practice instead of lighting fuse and not being their for explosions considering Yak and his poor english as it is... but hey at least the kid has the balls to say he should be playing more... |
|

Ehhhh...I don't worry too much about Yak and Russia. Larionov was actually the first to debunk KHL rumours in all of this, and Yakupov made himself unpopular with Russian media when he called himself a Tatar first, and a Russian second. He's been over here playing NA hockey for 4 years now and appears to love it.
I feel like he'd be more likely to want another NHL team than to want to go play in the KHL. - Morris
Agreed but it can be used as a negotiations tactic. |

Yak said Eakins doesnt trust him or thats how he feels... and he wants icetime... Good for him to admit |

Well then it sounds like Ehrhoff isn't living up to his billing as your best defenseman...better trade him to us now while you can |

How can you not want the kid on your team but maybe that explains his anxiousness with the puck this year- he feels he is not trusted so is constantly over thinking things... (frank) he is such a different player from last year.,.. and its obvious the coach has everything to do with it... gotta feel as Yak was always the first on the ice and last to leave all of last year... and to have things change... and all the pressure... I am actually glad he is coming out and getting poop off his chest its just too bad the agent set things up publicly |

A caller told Bob Stauffer that He/She notice other players not passing the puck to Yak,something I said long time ago, there's some internal things going on between Yak and other players, even Bob Stauffer had said that other Hockey people have notice that and yes He (Stauffer)himself have notice the same, something the Oil needs to fix. |

By the sounds of things Eakins really did nothing to try and ease the tension with Yak... by stating his door is open but would not seek out a player... kinda dumb if you ask me... |

I'm honestly starting to believe that Eakins is not the coach and so far it looks like MacT first mistake as a GM. |

I heard that too a few nights ago and did not really notice... but obviously there is some Russian cock hate from the Canadian kids... which is too bad... |

Not happening. 8 weeks in a cast minimum then rehab. Worst case this could possibly be a 4 month injury |

I think Eakins can be a good coach but not with the type of players the Oil have,I think either MacT or Eakins didn't do his homework before making the changes. |

Per TSN homepage:
"OILERS' YAKUPOV SAYS HE DESERVES MORE PLAYING TIME"
No where in the article does it quote him saying that. Larionov said play him 18 minutes, not Yakupov. Effin media. |
