Okay Question for every Oil Fan here,if you were to choose To keep Yakupov or Eakins, who would you keep? - AlEx_OiL
this is an awkward question. In no way do ya get rid of yak at this point. Hindsight being 20/20 I think at this point the Oil would have been better off, so far this season sticking with Kreuger, but now isn't the time to get rid of Eakins. Pretty sure management knew going in it would take time for him to implement his system. Can we get rid of some of his assistants though??? |

Sure and bring Kreuger back as a assistance and Todd Nelson |

Bull poop! I'm sure he's not doing things without his clients okay. And if he were, why isn't Nail setting the record straight? Is Yak the first ever number one pick to have his playing time dimminished because he's not playing well or having a hard time following direction of the coaching staff???
You want to make him out to be some sort of victim in all this, go right ahead. But the bottom line is, maybe he should keep his mouth shut and allow his play to dictate how much playing time he gets. Otherwise he's got no ground to stand on if he's going to publically allow his agent to do his dirty work for him and then act like an innocent bystander in the matter. - MnGump
What Larionov did really is pretty standard agent behavior. If their clients are dissatisfied with their roles, it often falls to them to get that message out. The job isn't all contract negotiations. |

Oh you are sure of this? You know as fact yak told Igor "hey do you wanna say some things to a reporter at the HHOF ceremony and get some poop stirred up in the media". How much did it cost to have access to the wire tap you got for yaks phone to listen in to all of the conversations the two are having??? You don't think players talk to their agents all the time, and that these types of convo's don't occur? Do they all go out and publicly state it in the media?
The kid is bottom line upset as I am pretty sure the whole team is. Of course he wants to play more, he is a kid. How the (frank) can you say he allowed his agent to say these things, as if he has control over what Igor says and does??? Are you at all capable of being objective and looking at all sides and considering all possibilities, instead of just stating your own opinions as facts??? - ruttager17
Ruttager, you know I love you in a heterosexual, Movember, fan of an opposing team kinda way.
In this however, I think you have it exactly wrong.
It is a HUGE stretch for me to believe Larionov spoke out without Yakupov knowing full well what would be said or at least implied.
Larionov is not stupid, not known as a loud mouth, and Yakupov is a kid who certainly appears to have a lot of growing up to do. He isn't the first, won't be the last. |

They could do that without bringing kruger back. We still have all the same assistant coaches as before. They could go back to what they were doing in an instant. |

Sure Yakupov could've stated I want you to tell everyone I want more ice time but Larionov, the experienced guy he is, should've said no, we will talk to Mac T in private. Sure you could argue Yakupov employs Larionov but at some point you have to know better and do what's in your clients best interest, and this was not it. Larionov's fault, not Yakupov. |

Yakupov all day long.....
You can find another Coach, maybe not another Nail.
Ron Wilson would be a good offensive coach for all that talent |

Didn't some Oiler fan (MaximumBone?) recently point out that the Oilers PP and PK were both doing quite well? I can't remember what his sample size was. |

it's a very standard ploy for agents. that douchebag Allen Walsh, for one, publicly female doges about his clients not getting enough icetime all the time
doing it publicly puts more pressure on the team |

Yes, I read it already. He's saying everything he's supposed to say. Damage control at it's finest. His agent airs out his frustrations to stir the organization while he makes sure the fans hear what they want. It's the bad cop good cop sceario.
No way his agent makes that statement without Yak in the know. They're playing a game of chicken with Edmonton. Plain and simple. Could prove to be bad for him though if they become too irritated by it. |

It's not a stretch. Think about it. He didn't exactly speak out about it in a controlled planned manner. We are making assumptions if we think we know what happened between the two. He answered that today, he didn't say anywhere in his interviews that " i told Igor to say those things last night". Yes he may have, but we don't know that so it isn't fair to suggest it without any facts to support this.
I am also confused and strangely aroused by your opening line. |

Yakupov could also have gone to Larionov completely and utterly p*ssed off and demanded he get him out of there.
Larionov's actions, in that regard are nothing more than an attempt to put public pressure on MacT.
I find it pretty easy to believe Yakupov wants out.

Don't think it would have been maximumbone, that kid is a damn smart ginger.
Their pp is currently 18th and pk is 22nd I believe. Not league worst, but a huge drop from last year. |

Oh yeah, either way is a guess, at best. None of us know what has really been said between the team and Yak or his agent or between Yak and Larionov.
It just seems like he needs to mature, a lot, so I could believe a hissy fit took place.
There is nothing more manly than Movember. Two hot women at work told me that I suited my new 'stache. Sadly, I am married, one of them is married, and the other is a lesbian... who has a SMOKIN' bod. On second thought, the smokin lesbian part isn't sad.

I am delusional because I am not jumping to conclusions. Yeah that makes sense. You are just a useless troll, here to say derogatory things about a poopty team and a player, to make yourself feel better about yourself. Keep "reading between the lines" and making poop up. That is a lot easier than actually critically thinking. - ruttager17
Never been a troll. You just have a difficult time having a conversation with someone who holds an opposing opinion on the matter. Just because I'm not a card carrying member of the Edomonton fan club doesn't mean I have no clue as to what I'm talking about in regards to the Oilers.
I'm not saying I know anything in absolutes. But with issues like this, the writing is always on the wall for everyone to see. Except for you I guess. |
