$8.5m of cap hit vs a measily elc. flyers has to take on n.schultz and even more. - deks1
No, part of the value would be opening up some cap. |

When Erik Johnson (1st overall) was traded, the Blues got Chris Stewart (18th overall), Kevin Shattenkirk (14th overall) and a second round pick. The Avalanche got Johnson and a first round pick from St Louis. - LeftCoaster
That was after a few years and a few injuries.... not to mention that the Avs got Butt-Bozaked on that deal... |

ok, so edm just has to find two young studs - one forward, one d-man, and 2nd round pick. |

~ Larionov... SUCK IT!
~ Yakupov... Quit SUCKING so much!
~ I'd suggest they both shut their pie holes, or else I'd give the little (frank)er 2 minutes of ice time a game.

Meh, we've all seen this one before. Islander fans just saw it recently with Nino though we really treated him like dog shat. |

True, but you can usually tell who the fruits* are on the boards who come up with such BS.

this is all true, the 11th overall. And apparently thats why we traded Stewart, bad attitude/party boy and didnt want to train hard. Im sure they offered just him, asked for Shattenkirk, figured that was too much so they did the draft pick to even it out. |

fair enough, either way, if something does not change, it'll not end well for Yak. Agent or not, the guy is starting to look like a whiner. And he should never openly have an opinion on whether he is open to a trade or not. All of that needs to stay internal.
You guys are jumping on me as if I wouldn't want him on my team. Just take a breath and chill. |

A first overall with his potential should be able to get you a damn fine return. |

Exactly what I've been trying to say.
Everyone else has to bust their ass to earn it, why does he, or his agent, think it should be any different for him? |

Igor Larionov says he's got a trip planned to Edmonton to discuss how Nail Yakupov is being used. Pretty unhappy.

It would be incredibly foolish for the Oilers to deal Yak.
It would be even more foolish to deal him for more youth.
Give the kid a shot on the second line and trade Hemsky. |
