So can we all agree that the first penalty was dumb but also hysterical?
Watching Fleury land on his ass was pretty dang funny.
Stupid of Schenn - but funny... - FlyersGrace
I find it funny that he gets his stick in Fleury's feet and gets called but (going back some years) Crosby submarines Biron and gets nothing. |

That is a classic answer. Everyone including you can critique and hate on the flyers when they are losing but when someone makes a comment you don't particularly agree with that is your answer. I have been a flyer fan for 25 years and am well versed on the happenings of this team on a daily basis so I am completely entitled to my opinion and asking people what they think, without having to be put down by you. If you don't agree then give me an legitimate rebuttal not an insult. - Daceroni
Hartnell looks like a slug out there, but he's mostly been the victim of horrible luck. The team is shooting 1.4% when he's out on the ice at even-strength.
His points will come. |

BTW, is it me, or has our pedantic, acronym-aliased friend gone missing or something? - Tomahawk

At least he's being physical and gritty, and being a bit of a pest...he does that and it will come.
When he's not doing that, he's worthless

It's awful. A lot of the games that get that treatment have toxic fanbases and player bases too. I know League of Legends (the most popular multiplayer game, or at least it's up there) actually hired a team of sociologists to figure out how to make their players less insufferable.
Personally, I think it's a fools' errand. You can't teach people skills to somebody who doesn't actually interact with people outside of the computer box. I mean, look at me! - BulliesPhan87
Transition from video games to tabletop.
Seriously. I've seen socially inept people get better in social situations after some good session of D&D where the GM forces you to roleplay your char.
There is always an exception to the rule but usually (like most things) you can get better with practice in a no stress situation... |

Malkin was the scariest player out there last night, I thought. Had some jump in his step and was making some crazy passes. I actually thought his linemates were wasting his efforts. - jmatchett383
I thought Crosby was equally as dangerous. I think the Pens problem is that they feel the need to score on a line rush every time. |

I am talking last year and this year and gave you the stats to back it up - Daceroni
Oh, so you asked what Hartnell has done the past two years but you meant last season when he was two goals shy of your expectations at a time where he was forced to sit out for a month. This season Hartnell also got hurt and this season is still young, so I'm not sure what you're expecting while the entire team struggles. You asked what he's done the past two seasons without making yourself crystal clear. Two years ago, Hartnell played an entire season without injury and managed 37 goals. |

It was really disturbing when they mentioned that he hadn't had an assist in over 30-games before he notched one in OTT... considering the quality linemates he generally enjoys, and all the PP time... to me, that's more telling of his recent ineptitude than his lack of goal-scoring. |

At least with tabletop you have to deal with people in the same physical space as you, unless you do it over instant message I suppose. Iunno, I'm not even condemning most online players.
Ok, well I did condemn the whole LoL player base, but aside from them
But yeah, I actually have generally positive interactions with players I've met via random matchmaking. But once you get to that really competitive tier, it gets ugly. |

Granted, but the lanes close at ~10, andI don't play games that charge by the hour. |

I don't mind people playing for fun or a hobby. When people take it serious with announcers and that type of stuff it becomes dumb. - PLindbergh31

We go once a year with work.
For $20/person we'll get 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, and a pizza and pitcher of soda per lane... |

Depends on where you go. The less ritzy place near here costs $15/hr, and includes shoes. The nice bowling alley charges something like $7 to $9 per game, or up to $30 per hour, not including shoes ($3.50 per pair). |

Wow... it's gotten pretty expensive. Even though I was never in a league or anything I had my own ball and shoes. I'm somewhat germ-phobic. |

Nope but I compete every year for worst bowler in a group of about 40 people. And I have won it the last 2 years. So I don't go often... And that's what socks are for. |

I'd like to get my own gear, but it's kind of low on the shopping list right now. I've got myself spread a bit thin, gotta be picky about the dollars wasted on hobbies (learning guitar, bass guitar building project, and hockey gear being the most recent).
Don't worry though, I'll just hit the lottery and it'll be ok. |
