how many breakaways do you see in a game? it is foolish to cater to fans who tune in because they want "excitement" of the shoot out but cannot appreciate the game. i would rather see them go to a full 2 min power play for each team, scoring as many as the can in that time. most goals wins. tie is a tie after that or just allow games to end in ties after the 5 min OT - hogweed
Sounds like 2/3rds of the UC here in chicago.... And probably most anyone in a #1 selling kaner jersey. Thats a lot of dough to not cater to. Hockey is not 'just' for die hards like us on this website. |

Call me crazy.. but catering to new fans is something the NHL should avoid. I love knowing the same meatheads who get drunk for the eagles aren't flyer fans.
Hockey is a die hard sport IMO. |

Very nice. Richards as a legitimate short-handed threat, in addition to other qualities, of course, has been missed by the Flyers. I'm looking forward to Laughton in the O&B. |

hey, i don't mind some catering (like changing the conference names because people couldn't learn campbell and wales [let alone patrick, adams, smythe and norris]....) come to think of it that really bugs me. a lot. forget catering! if they want to be fans let them learn to love the game with all the quirks and whatever. no shootouts!! (and not just because we totally suck at them, either) |

Not sure if serious...
No way they let him go, much less to their instate rivals. |

If you're an Isles fan, you're probably used to seeing Michael Grabner get about 4-5 per game all by himself.

Why are the NYRs taking so long to get his deal done?
I'm sure he'd love to stay in NYC if the Rangers can't get it done. |
