because we need a steady stay at home D, Liles is not that. - Garnie
Agreed on that, aswell as Gleason will be an upgrade over Ranger who is best suited for the AHL. |

I realize that Bozak & Kadri will be back eventually, but how is Holland suppose to develop & show what he can do plying on the 3rd or 4th line? - GCHonda
He will have to earn ice time like everyone else.. I'm not worried about it. He's some dude none of us knew anything about til 2 days ago. Let him rot in the minors who gives a poop. |

There's actually a really weird phenomenon in Japan right now. People (both sexs) ages 16-35 have virtually no sex drive. The government is even trying initiatives to get people to have sex. They're worried about the massive lack of reproduction in this generation. |

Ditto. I came here to post basically the same thing.
So... we eat a poop ton of Liles' salary, screwing us for the next couple years, to acquire a more expensive defenseman signed for the same length of time who has been a healthy scratch on an inferior team?
Did I get that right? - Leeman4Gilmour
It would be a hockey trade for an almost identical cap hit, identical term, but in our depth charts, a stay-at-home veteran guy fits our needs; in Carolina, they need a veteran puck-mover/PP QB.
Ideally, someone would take Liles for a bag of pucks and possibly salary retention, but I don't think Nonis is having any luck, so if you have a cap boat anchor, why not a boat anchor that actually fills a gap in the depth charts?
I think this has as much to do with Fraser's ongoing knee issue though. |

I forget the stat but something like 50% of people in Japan between the age of 16-30 are virgins. Im cool with it, more wussy for the rest of us. But something tells me that Japanese men are too disciplined to allow some girl (frank) them then control them. Here its the complete opposite. I hear people constantly whine about wife stuff. |

5 game homestand.
NYI are beatable. they hustle so it won't be easy but there are points to be had.
NSH is there for the taking.
WSH will be a real tough one next weekend, then a beatable bluejackets team.
with the 2 points vs. BUF last sat I think 7 points on this stand isn't unreasonable. |

Honestly i don't see any of the upcoming home games as likely wins. They'll probably grind out a few points. But without Kadri for NYI i think they lose. Nashville has picked up their game. Washington is hot right now with Ovi on a tear. So it's looking bleak. And wtf is wrong with Kessel? Dude has disappeared. |

Yeah the herbivores.
A lot of it's saturation from internet porn, but some of it's because this generation grew up after their economy hit the skids in the 90s.
They saw their fathers working 80 hour weeks, and the expectation was generally that as men they'd have to follow that same path.
Women may be traditionally geared in Japan, but they're stilll women, they still expect men to bring home the bacon, and a lot of men are looking at the amount of work they'd need to do in a poop japanese economy and figure that the women are generally too much of a pain in the ass to bother with in the end.
Kinda like what you see in the western world, but it's manifested itself into movements like MGTOW where men basically say screw it, and try to undermine mainstream society by 'going galt' |

JVR playing center really (frank)ed up the chemistry on that line, I see him getting back on track the next 3 or 4 games. |

Kessel has occasional funks but whatever, most players do at times, even the best. Hell how's Malkin been?
With JVR back on wing and Holland potentially posessing the skill to stick on a scoring wing for this team I think points are there to be had.
Hell, no Rinne on NSH, and CBJ has a crap road record and WSH plays friday before coming to town saturday. |

NYL are hot & cold but in TO they ALWAYS play the Leafs tough. Never an easy game at the ACC vs a motivated team full of Ontario boys.
Nashville just wiped the floor recently with the Hawks. They are not to be underestimated especially with Rinne in net.
The Caps will be the toughest test if they can't control Ovie.
Leafs had better be on their game if they are to win all three. |

And Naby is injured for NYI... I think they'll pick up a few points but it wont be easy. Bernier or Reimer will have to be solid. |

They'll probably bring Roloson out of retirement, that (frank)er always posted like 50 save shutouts against the Leafs no matter which team he played for |

Roloson was the original Leaf killer long b4 Miller. I remember him as a young goalie in 1999. He was the backup in Buffalo for Hasek. Game 1 of the semi-finals, Leafs vs Sabres at the ACC, Hasek is out with an injury. Roloson backstops the Sabres to a 5-4 win. |

This is how sex has worked for mankind over the millenia:
We have, as guys, 20x the testosterone that women do. It's what gives us our sex drives, but it's also what allows us to do crazy things in order to gain the status, and thus approval of women we want to bang.
That's why we fought wars(protect our progeny) and built crazy structures, and invented things, because our excess testosterone was channelled into civilized ventures that would otherwise go towards fighting the guy down the road in order to get teh girl we want.
If we get to the point where the 80% of men who aren't benefactors of the 80/20 rule(80% of the sex young broads have is with 20% of men) then society shuts down. Men no longer have a reason to sacrifice as much as our ancestors because we're simply not interested in this generation of 'ladies'...y'know, the spoiled princesses who demand we give them a lifestyle and pamper them. The same girls who think they're too good to even keep within a healthy BMI index and thus get fat once 'the chase' is over and their man is tamed.
All of modern economic is based on consumption, and consumption is primarily based on sex and the desire to get it. If men don't care for sex, we don't buy nice new cars because the modest sedan that's 5 years old is good enough for what we need. We don't buy nice clothes, go out to restaurants etc. In fact, we simply don't need to work harder to obtain the income we'd need to attract a wife. The whole system would collapse and all the industries built around consumption go tits up, governments don't generate the tax revenue they used to and go bankrupt. |
