Agreed. With Fraser down right now they have to keep him in unless they deal for a veteran shutdown to play with Franson who isn't anywhere near the Franson of last year when he played with Fraser.

thats tough.. franson is too good for the bottom pairing and fraser isnt quite good enough for anything but.

now while yes, i agree the familiarity being gone hasnt helped franson i'd also add the fact he is getting tougher defensive assignments then before.

fraser franson mostly saw time vs 3rd and 4th lines last year.. now franson is defending against 1 & 2.

still.. be worth giving fraser a try in that role to see how he handles it.. he might surprise a few.

Nope. I honestly get a good chuckle out of all this. Especially the Bozak thing. Well into year 4 and he's still gonna be our 1c and it works great bc it's always one of the top lines in the NHL.
