I don't think Vanek is playing tonight. Haven't heard anything official yet. Looks like Grabner will be a healthy scratch and Boulton will be in the lineup. Could see a couple of good heavyweight fights tonight. Boulton & Carkner vs Mclaren & Orr. I wouldn't want to be carkner but I remember Boulton & Orr having a good one last year

Well a good offensive d-man can be more effective because he's not playing defense as much since he actually has the puck or makes a decent pass so your team can play offense.

Gotta have good balance back there. Leafs are definitely short on quality defensive defensemen. Phaneuf and Franson provide plenty of offense from back there if allowed to play their game because of good partners.
