odds are, im being honest here...we wont have the money to resign bolland, although, him getting hurt may help with us getting him a bit cheaper.
that being said, i bet you see Holland on the team until we have a full lineup *if no C injuries...and he goes to presser/marlies.
then next year gets a crack at lineup...i mean the reality is, he wont be super pricy...u could even have him play 3/4th line wing if need be. - big_dion
yeah.. bolland is likely gone..
i like holland's game so far.. i want to see him once he has had a couple practices and not just a game day skate. |

what a day for the guy, he said it was like a dream come true. - big_dion
yeah i know.. he must be thrilled.. and frankly.. given the circumstances i thought he did real good.
nice pick up by Nonis, dealt a player in Blacker who while good, was way down the depth chart in leaf lands. got back a nice young piece that plugs a hole in the leafs depth chart. |

Ehhh...I just picture Gleason being in the press box for us.....Ruutu atleast brings other things to the game if he isn't scoring....however, I think a change of scenery would benefit him greatly....just as it did for Lupul...he'll regain his form. It's like having a Leo Komorov on steroids. |

yes, I do think it's funny, but I had to share the tv with him Saturday night
hunt camp guy told him we would watch the Canes game and the Leafs game with 1 TV
His buddy and roommate is also a Canes fan;
Hurricane Electric is the name of his electrical company....now that's die hard. |

extra cap and extra years, not sure he'll ever be worth it........not to mention, with fraser a pending ufa, gleason can take over his spot so at least he has some use moving forward, which unfortunately for liles isn't the case with the current coaching staff. |

Getting Gleason for Liles solves no problems....it's just going to leave us with an even more expensive defenseman being scratched, possibly in the minors, or on our bottom pairing....which 4 million per is way to much to be playing where Fraser is currently playing.

i really do like the Holland pickup... but when all bodies are healthy what happens?
Maybe he is going to be Bolland's replacement after this year? It will be interesting to see where it goes. - Dozzer
I think it's as Nonis says, more depth at the centre position. Ideally I'd think they want to keep Bolland, hopefully his contract demands are reasonable. If everyone is healthy I would think he'd ben pencilled in on the Marlies as he's still on the entry level and can be brought up and down. I see him as a replacement for losing Colborne as of right now, unless he explodes and exceeds expectations then they would probably re-evaluate the situation. |

I couldn't agree more, but lets be honest, the Leafs are getting nothing of value for Liles. Nothing.
The only way he is moved is if we take on somebody elses problem OR eat his contract.
give or take a few bucks, what's the difference if we have liles or gleason in the pressbox?
my guess?, Carlyle likes him and sends rielly down for the rest of the season. |

i think bolland will honestly be looking for 4+ at the very least.
if he comes back and finishes the year strong and has a good post season (fingers crossed) he'll get it too. |
