I had heard they offered more AAV, but had heard it was a shorter term.

I'm torn. Adds a different dimension to this team but would have been grossly overpaid. I think he's about 30 now so when he gets into the fourth year of that deal I think Toronto is gonna hate it since he will likely slow down.
