My least favourite Carter myth on here was always what a great defensive forward he was.

Stevens said it to get him motivated and cover all the questions when he missed his back checks. He was a poor defender to say the least. I had no problem with what he brought to the table but don't try to sell me that.

yeah. i always thought he was lacking in the playmaking department as well. to me, thats one of the most important parts of being a center. wingers can get away with being primarily snipers, like a neal or OV, but a center needs to be able to dictate the line and make those around him better for me.

Anyone tuned into the Pens/Caps rivalry game? I have to admit, I love having the Caps in our division along with the Pens, Devils and Rangers. I feel a rivalry between them and the Flyers.

Also I looked up Crosby and Ovechkin's stats. Crosby has exactly 200 more points than games played with 692. Ovechkin is knock on the door or both of 800 points the season with 759. He has 388 in goals with 371 assists. It's pretty amazing what these two have done for the NHL and it feels like yesterday when they came into the league.
