maybe snow would go for booth, weiss, sestito, luongo and 5 1st rounders for tavares.

Kassian still might develop into a good power forward, I think the big guys often take a bit longer to develop.

I agree about the game breaker. Kesler shows brief glimpses of what he was (this year when he was first put with the Sedins on the wing at even strength), I am not against trading him, I wonder if we could do a deal with Columbus or Detroit. If he stays, we need more grit from him.

I don't see the intangibles necessary for that generalization to be true for Kassian. Most late blooming power forwards need to improve footspeed, conditioning & puck skills to go along with an already assertive/rugged/alpha style of play & high hockey IQ. Kassian already has the conditioning & puck skills... What he lacks are those intangibles. (IMO)

I saw a CHL ranking earlier today that had Eerie as 2nd overall. I`m guessing Guance was looking for playing time assurances in the top 6.

Very possible, but the early indication was that he was going to play in the top6 with Burakovsky, so unless that wasn't indicated to him before the first trade attempt, and was negotiated after he refused to waive the first time, I'm not sure why that would be a problem.

Either way, if it goes down, it should be good for him. Less ice time, likely, but much better linemates in a more offensive system.

Just hope Subban gets traded, as well, now, although since he's still got another year of OHL after this season, unlike Gaunce, they might be more inclined to keep him to have a veteran blueliner for next season.

Tavares is going nowhere. That much I can assure you. They might be more interesting in Luongo though.

When you've got a number 2 center who's on a two-way $550K deal you need some really good wingers to compensate, we don't have that, one guy short. Simply need a good trade to happen. Doesn't have to be sexy, just effective.
