Another guy for LA almost did because some douche bag camera guy was standing right next to him and he basically almost ran the guy over. Which, as a player, would piss me off. Those camera guys need to give them more space. - jmatchett383
No! I want to see what's in those grizzly beards! What's that? It looks like Richie had tomato soup last night! |

Holding the Torah is terrifying. If dropped, you need to fast for 40 days.
Although, you can always find 40 people to fast for 1 day instead. - PhillySportsGuy
No you don't, it's just a book. |

it is terrifying..certainly when you're 13 and standing in front of all your family and friends. they could make mock torahs that mimic the weight so kids can practice.
hmmm....business idea. |

They need to return to the good old days where all the fans surged on to the ice/field/court... |

They also need to bring back local TV coverage. Imagine if Gene Hart had never called the Game 1 OT goal, or "THE FLYERS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!" |

I'm not religious, but I would feel bad breaking a Torah simply because they take a very long time to make. |

I don't want to imagine Jim Jackson calling it... maybe Tim Saunders, since his voice breaks when he gets excited and that's rad. |

I know! They are heavy as hell.
Going through a Bar Mitzvah prepares you for anything in life. Standing in front of everyone you know while singing/reading a totally different language while your voice cracks because you're going through puberty is like nothing else. |

It was nice hearing Harry Kalas call the WS. Doc would give a good call for the Flyers. He's knowledgable about how much this city wants them to win a cup. |

I remember that day man I ran home from the bus stop to my house cuz it was an afternoon game. Dad had texted me the news during the school day at like 1 in the afternoon and I ran home in denial after the bus dropped me off at like 3, convinced I'd hear Harry's baritone voice in the house.
It was McCarthy.
I cried and went outside and took a baseball bat and smashed some old water gun that was always in the way in the garage to pieces. |

Pretty sure you're right, Bill. I'm Blackfoot (not enough to matter but enough to care about it, 6.25% -- as much as I am Italian) and it's more or less vicarious offense being taken. That is, folks are taking offense for those they think would or should be offended. - Flyskippy
You're about as much Blackfoot as I am Cherokee...

It has more to do with the fact that it hasn't been fixed for 500 years. Not Columbus making the mistake.
At some point someone said "We're not in Indians so they aren't Indians, but let's just keep calling them that" - PhillySportsGuy
Well the fact is they didn't have a unified name for thier race like there was in the rest of the world. So one had to be made up for them.... |

I'm telling you, Savages. It doesn't have anything to do with their skin color or their place of origin. |

Did you ever hear Dave Chappelles joke about white people trying to figure out a name to call slaves? It's one of the funniest things you'll ever hear. |
