Works perfectly. You get Hartnell, who can't create offense on his own of any kind or skate with the puck, and you get his contract which hopefully handcuffs your team and keeps you in the basement for as long as possible.

It would be a lateral move cap wise with Stafford and Hartnell we also will have around 30 mill in cap space after this season. Id expect a 31 year old Hartnell to retire or ask for a trade before that contract is up if we continue to falter. Or he regains some of his old production on a new team and Its a meh moment.
