I thought it was for Hall to take the face offs only
Missed it if Jake was injured |

I thought it was for faceoff reasons at first too but Voracek pretty much disappeared with four minutes left. |

Third line was awesome
Couts was a beast
G was a little too fancy, just want him to keep shooting
I don't like how Berube puts a different PP unit out for the 5v 3,
It breaks up any continuity they have going on the PP
VL's shot what a rocket that was sweet - Marc D
Voracek's absence was palpable on the 5 on 3 |

I'm not gonna lie, I turned the game off after 1. They looked good forca few but then went flat like they just expected to win. I'm glad they were able to win, but they can't afford to let up ever. |

Yeah Rob Ray said that. That's like Miley Cyrus breaking down the hip hop crew DITC from the 1990s. - Pixote Andolini
Yeah. Rob ray also said it was the 3rd period when it was the first and basically had the vocabulary of a 3 ur old when speaking. Sorry if I don't take that meat head seriously. |

Yeah, who was it that was complaining about him and saying something to the effect of he doesn't score goals so he sucks? - exlund
I was the one who went on several tirades when the trade happened. Yet even I never said he sucks. |

I don't know what it is about Downie. He is just good at making "that" play that seems small, but turns out big. - johndewar
He's got super-good hockey sense and very deft passing ability... you just wouldn't expect a player that small and slow to be able to generate so many plays... but he does. We're talking primary assists, not sponging easy points off better linemates.
That 3rd-line has looked terrific since the trade, and I would argue that that has been the biggest difference in their ability to score goals now. They're feasting on secondary/tertiary defenders, when with Talbot/Rinaldo there, they were only able to tread water. |

Next step: upgrade the wings on the 4th line. |

Agree with this
The other thing with SD is he comes up with pucks, it stays on his stick and that leads to good cycles in the O zone. He is a very good match with Couts. And they have a good shooter with Read.
Very solid acquisition
Just too bad the goalies the GM got aren't working out

They have an upgrade they just won't play him cause they value Rosehill's awesomely-timed penalties too much to scratch him. |
