Its mixed, some like it others dont. Im on the fence still. Nolan seems to walk a thin line everywhere he has been. They seem to haev a different direction then the last head coach and GM did.
They sent most of the young kids down so he is not going to be teaching really. - ImThatGuy
According to Mr. Leach tonight is the first time two first nation coaches have meet in an NHL game. |

I think Morin and Nurse are the "If they reach their ceiling..." guys, where as Risto and Pulock are the more sure bets. I just see a lot of Shea Weber in Pulock. - jmatchett383
Erm... I see a lot of Mark Streit. |

Would have loved to see the Flyers trade Coburn and 2nd for Edm first... Taken Nichushkin there... then I think Nurse goes to Sabres Horvat still goes to Vancouver, Dallas take Risto, and we still get Morin... |

Pulock is so much smaller, though. He'll never be the physical force that Weber is. |

Yeah, but then you are not having Coburn (who's been a horse over the last 15 games) and Hagg. I'm not sold on Nurse at all. Not a bit. |

Well, few players are. Minus the size, he has a similar offensive game, and dude is compact and plays more physical than his size shows. Has an incredibly shot (heavy, accurate) and is more than capable in his own end.
We'll see in 6+ years. |

Good two ways at the junior level... who knows if he has the mobility and size to keep up as the competition gets smarter/faster/bigger. |

Really? That is shocking to me, with Nolan having coached here before and on the Island for a bit. |

Well that means he'll make it to training camp next year, impress up until the last preseason game, and totally fall apart. He will then go into a downward spiral until he's sent to the Capitals as a 7th defenseman. |

i dunno..."The 'Chus 'Chus Train" (that's how i'll be referring to him moving forward, thank you very much) is gonna be a force by the time those kids come up. a few pieces here and there and buffalo is back in the thick of things. just look at how lame the east is looking right now. - eshake
That is what gets me the most. How the east is so just average right now.
Sabres just need some top-tier talent.
Speaking of which what was all that nonsense a couple weeks back about Philly possibly trading Giroux? They would be nuts to do so. |

He reminds me of the guy the Eagles drafted in the first round (Lance whatever). Tons of raw athletic ability than makes him a standout against kids, but needs some serious refinement to cut it at the NHL level. |

i'm not sure where that came from, but there was a point where people really started panicing about our start. Giroux is here for a bit |

The typical Philadelphia fanbase reaction is to trade the entire team as soon as they lose 2+ games in a row. |

No, it means every pass he makes will be too hard, and at the players skates.... |

Could also mean a lot of flubbed passes because he's firing slap shots at their sticks from 12 feet away. |
